Great appartment Positive: Very well equipped with all necessities. Very clean. Negative: Apartment is near a road so can be a little noisy.

Fantastic location and excellent value for money Positive: Fantastic location and excellent value for money. Before booking I read lots of reviews, many of which were negative about noise and missing tea towels etc. plus that the sofa bed was very uncomfortable. So I travelled with ear plugs and took a spare tea towel just in case. Ok so the kitchen had some random cutlery items etc (which is completely normal in rented apartments) and the freezer compartment cover in the fridge was missing but overall it was very well equipped and clean - esp considering the price. Of course being in central london there were some outside noises, but nothing more than expected. The only genuine issue was the sofa bed which was too uncomfortable to sleep on - and that's coming from someone who can sleep on a mat on the floor - but luckily we were just 2 friends so were able to share the double. If there had been 3 of us it would have been an issue. I believe that reviews should be based on the price paid which is why I have scored it a 9 - just take ear plugs and book enough beds for your party so that no-one needs to sleep on the sofa bed! Not happy Negative: The fact that the room was $170 and you required a deposit of over $600 is a joke. Then it took 3 phone calls and over 1 week to get the deposit Returned. I would never book again to this property for this reason

Nightmare place - no hot water, no heating, serious noise. Don’t go there. Positive: Location - handy for Kings Cross, Angel, Tube network. Negative: Heating did not work. Had one plug in heater for bedroom. Kitchen, bathroom and hallway unheated so cold. See photo for thermostat set to full heat, but zero warmth from any radiator. No hot water for shower. I was only there for one night so this only became apparent at 05:30 in the morning when I went to shower before a work breakfast meeting then conference. Had to go to those without shower or shaving. Informed management so they could put it right for next tenant. Got a snotty reply how I’d left it too late for them to remedy it. Of course, I was a one night stay! Eventually with booking.com intervention they apologised and gave a partial refund. But when you lay £100+ per night the shower and heating should work in the first place. Noise (1). The building is on a corner of a traffic light controlled crossroads. Very busy with traffic. The bedroom is on the front of the building, and almost immediately next to the pavement / sidewalk. See photos. So whenever vehicles are stopped at the lights the engine noise is very audible. Plus various music and radio emanating. Very disturbing and inevitable given the building location and because the bed is only a couple of meters from the roadway. Noise (2). Presumably not inevitable. I’ve never heard so much noise, and such weird noise from the flat above. Clearly uncarpeted. Through the whole evening sounds of one or more person going back and forth across the floor in shoes. But worse than that - regular loud bangs as if someone were jumping off furniture onto the uncarpeted floor. A child playing, jumping off a bed? Every few minutes. For noise (1) alone I recommend booking.com users do not book this space. Failure to provide a working hot water shower is also a red flag. Go elsewhere.
